Close Up

Close up isn't just about Macro shots.  It is about getting relatively close to the subject.  That said, whilst I had no macro lens I did purchase some extension tubes to allow affordable macro shots.  The assignment introduced new techniques such as focus stacking, to allow greater depth of field when shooting so close. Going forward I would like to apply these techniques to insect shots "in the field".
